Middle school boys lead district, other Wildcat teams face defeats

All Wildcat teams had a bye on Tuesday, January 21. On Friday evening, the Elgin boys’ varsity basketball team (11-14) traveled to Georgetown to take on a very good Eagles team (18-8). Elgin got off to a slow start, scoring only 14 points in the first half, and the Eagles won the game easily, 64-45. Elgin was led in scoring by Gary, Johnson, Upton and Aguirre.
