After four innings of play in Wednesday nights’ softball game, the Elgin Ladycats had a lights out game going. Bastrop eventually broke into the hit column and crossed home plate, but just once as the Ladycats dominated 12-1 over the Lady Bears.
The game was all goose eggs heading into the fourth inning until Bella Ramirez crossed home, giving the Ladycats the 1-0 advantage. Elgin didn’t stop there as three more runs would come across, pushing the Ladycat lead to 4-0.
