Lady Cats pick up big district road win

The Elgin Lady Cats drove in eight runs in the first inning on its way to a 14-3 victory over Cedar Creek on Thursday. Lady Cat batters contributing to the big inning included Aubry Gonzales, Morgan Heine, Jessica Cantrell, Emma Neidig, and Kelsea Calhoun, who all drove in runs. The big opening inning for the Lady Cats got underway when Bella Ramirez singled to drive in Kelsea Calhoun. With two down in the inning, the Lady Cats offense would come alive.
