This week saw Elgin unleashing their hitting machine and scoring a ton of runs to back up Gracy Crafts’ superior pitching. Coach Amanda Wolf-Schramm was very pleased to see the Cat’s bats come alive, because they will face two tough opponents in the coming week and will need every run possible. Last Tuesday saw the Lady Cats (12-7) travel 15 minutes west on Highway 290 to take on the rival Mustangs of Manor. Unfortunately for Manor, they had to face pitcher Gracy Crafts and the Elgin defense, and the Lady Cats easily overpowered Manor 9-0. See page 6A for the full ...
