On Friday, the Elgin Lady Cats varsity basketball team fell to the Georgetown Eagles by a score of 42-26.
They had a rough first quarter, falling behind 16-2 by its end, but they outscored the Lady Eagles in second quarter before ending still behind 22-11.
In the third, the Lady Eagles put up 14 to the Lady Cats’ six, and the score at the end of the third was 36-17. The Lady Cats put up nine points in the fourth quarter, but still fell 42-26.
