The Smithville Lady Tigers dropped their first game in two months this past week as they fell to the Lake Belton Lady Broncos in the regional quarterfinal round of the 2020-21 University Interscholastic League (UIL) softball championship tournament. The Lady Tigers wrap their season with a record of 25-3 after the series loss.
In game one, Lake Belton jumped on top with a three-run first inning. The Lady Tigers would be held scoreless until the top of the fourth inning.
