Elgin High School held its 2022 spring sports banquet last Sunday evening at SPJST Lodge 18, as student-athletes participating in baseball, softball, soccer, boys and girls track, golf, boys and girls powerlifting, tennis and track were honored with academic and athletics-based awards.Athletic Director, Heath Clawson, opened the evening with an introduction and a “thank you” to Elgin area coaches, parents and student-athletes, before introducing Booster Club president, Kim Strong, who spoke of the excellent work her organization has done in supporting Wildcat and Ladycat athletics.As Strong pointed out, the Wildcat Booster club supported Elgin athletic programs with over $36,000 of ...
