The Elgin High School varsity softball club wrapped up the regular season last week with a district record of 12-2, which was enough to lift the Ladycats to the top playoff seed in 5A Region III District 18 for a second consecutive campaign.All’s well that ends well, though the week did not necessarily go as planned.The Ladycats were upset in Bastrop last Tuesday night, falling to the Lady Bears by a 5-2 final.
