Elgin football earns long list of accolades

​As football season nears its end, all-district honors are being awarded.​A number of Wildcats players have been recognized for their achievements on the gridiron and in the classroom. ​Justin Strong was given the prestigious title of Defensive Player of the Year within District 11-5A. Strong finished the season with 97 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four interceptions, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. He was also named first team all-district for his role as the team’s leading receiver, racking up 606 yards and eight touchdowns on 32 receptions.​Another Wildcats player earned a district superlative award.
