It was a crisp but sunny Friday morning, October 30, at Smithville’s Riverbend Park, for the District 18 5A cross country meet. It included boys’ and girls’ teams from Bastrop, Cedar Creek, Elgin, Manor, Pflugerville, Pflugerville Connally, Pflugerville Hendrickson and Pflugerville Weiss. As per previous meets, the Elgin boys excelled with the four team members all doing very well. Mario Ruiz continued to dominate and placed first overall, with a time of 16:04.
