Bears’ season comes to a bitter end

The Bastrop Bears’ season ended in bleak fashion on Friday, Oct. 28, as they traveled to take on the Liberty Hill Panthers.​A 28-yard touchdown pass from Seth Mouser to Reagan Nielsen gave the Bears a 7-0 lead on their opening possession. From that point on, the Panthers dominated in every sense, steamrolling their way to a 61-7 victory.A 60-yard kickoff return for a touchdown quickly tied the game at 7-7.
