The Bastrop varsity volleyball team immersed themselves in a jam-packed tournament last week, competing in seven games over the course of three days. The Bears kicked off the tournament with a 2-0 win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest, but came up short in their next two games, losing 2-1 to Porter and 2-0 to Harlingen. The Bears got back in the winning column with a tightly contested 2-1 victory over Weslaco. Their last three games resulted in 2-0 losses against Rowe, Pace, and Rivera.
