Bastrop boys’ basketball secures impressive road win

On the road against what was a 16-8 Pflugerville Connally club entering Tuesday night, Bastrop High School’s varsity boys’ basketball team earned a dramatic 53-50 victory over the Cougars. For the Bears, this result came on the heels of a two-point win against Cedar Creek, the preceding Friday night, Jan. 7. It seemed whenever Bastrop needed a clutch basket down the stretch, Noah Tyson provided one.
