‘Cats end losing skid, pick up first win

With bats rattling and base runners charging, the 2021 high school baseball season continues on. The Elgin Wildcats on Thursday and Friday played a combined three games in double header action at Stony Point in Round Rock and followed up with a trip to McNeil. In the double header, the Tigers proved to be too much for the ‘Cats, taking both games 2-0 and 6-5. The Wildcats’ eight-game skid finally came to an end at the Round Rock ISD Legends Tournament as Elgin blew away the McNeil Mavericks 13-0.
