In our new summer section, we are looking to see where former local schools athletes are now in their college athletic careers. Our first Paw Prints former local student-athlete is former Elgin Lady Cats softball player Jayme Johns. Johns played softball for the Lady Cats at Elgin High School, where she was named 1st team all-district 2015-2018. She was named Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) 3rd team all-state 2nd basemen in 2015 and TSWA Honorable Mention all-state 2nd basemen 2017 and 2018.
