Chamber Connection: A letter from the Chamber

We hope you all had a safe and happy Easter break. It has been a challenging few months but spring in Central Texas is the best! Our hope and optimism is high for good things ahead!

The Chamber had a great turnout for the April membership lunch. This was our first in-person luncheon since the pandemic. We had perfect Chamber of Commerce weather and it was great seeing everyone and visiting with each other in the downtown park. It certainly made me appreciate the opportunities we have to gather and how much I have missed seeing everyone.

At the luncheon we discussed the Chamber transitioning to a new updated software system and improved virtual and social media presence. This new system will feature a new website, online membership directory and interactive calendar. In addition to desktop and mobile access, members will be able to access their account via a free mobile app. They will be able to make changes and updates to their accounts, add pictures, videos and register and pay online for events. All of this will make our members much more searchable on the web and ultimately help our members grow their business or organization.

And speaking of members—we would appreciate the opportunity to have you as a member! We have individual, family, non-profit and business members. We are all working together to make Elgin a great place to live, work or visit!

If you are interested in membership with the Chamber, or if we can assist in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out to us by email or call us at 512-285-4515.
