William Allen Hatcher, age 56, of Elgin passed away on April 25, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer. Allen was born on August 17, 1962 in Leesburg, Florida to Jasper “Jack” and Elizabeth Ann (Kirkland) Hatcher. Upon graduating from high school, he worked in the agriculture/produce industry and was Public Services Director for Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Allen made his was to Texas in 1996, after a brief stop in Oklahoma, and began working in the garage door industry. He started his own garage door business (Allen’s Garage Door Services) in 2000.
