Melissa Corene Tinnell

Melissa “Lisa” Corene Tinnell, age 57, of Elgin, Tx went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Thursday, June 27, 2019.

Lisa was born to the late Irwin Ingalls and Corene Ingalls on March 1, 1962 in Minden, Louisiana.

Lisa attended Elgin High School, where she dazzled and danced for the Purple Flames drill team. In 1985, Lisa married the man of her dreams, Jeffrey Claude Tinnell and they spent the following 33 years on a glorious adventure together. They have 4 children; Jeffrey Aaron Tinnell, Melissa Lee Jennings, Jessica Marie Garrison and Jessica Ann Crowell; along with 13 precious grandchildren. Lisa was the smiling face of Curves for Women and the charming voice of Lightning Pest Control. She loved to go on spontaneous road trips with her honey and spend time surrounded by her family. Lisa is the youngest of her siblings; Pamela Wilson, Rene Ingalls-Bowen and James Ingalls.

Lisa has forever touched so many lives and is a true woman of God. In her four year battle with cancer, her faith was never shaken as she remained ever faithful to the Lord while bringing many to follow his path. Lisa never knew a stranger and for those who were fortunate enough to get to know her, undoubtedly loved her.

A viewing to pay respects will be held Tuesday, July the 2nd of 2019, from 6pm - 8pm at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home 604 TX-95 Elgin, TX 78621. A funeral service to celebrate Lisa’s life will be held Wednesday, July the 3rd of 2019, at 2:00pm. Lisa’s wish of being cremated and nurturing living urns for her family, will be honored after the service.
