Jessie Thomas Lewis

Mrs. Jessie Thomas Lewis age 92, a life-long resident of  Elgin, Texas went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2021 surrounded by her family. Survivors include: a devoted daughter, LaCarla DuVall, a Brenham Elementary School Teacher; a devoted granddaughter LaJessica DuVall of Houston, TX; 4 sons: Dean Lewis (Faye) of Navasota, Texas; Aubrey Lewis of Port Arthur, Texas; Milton Lewis (Jimmie) of Elgin, Texas and Marvin Lewis (Elanor) of Elgin, Texas. One sister Ada Westbrook of San Antonio, Texas, and 19 grandchildren. Proceeding Jessie in death was her parents Leslie and Hettie Thomas; her husband Jerry Lewis, an infant son Allen Lewis; and one granddaughter Ann Lewis.

Viewing for Mrs. Lewis will be held in Brenham on Friday July 16, 2021 at Allen Dave Funeral Home 407 Burleson St. from 3-5 P.M. A viewing in Elgin, Texas will be held from 11-1 P.M. on Saturday July 17, 2021 at Winns Memorial Baptist Church at 605 Madison Street. Funeral service will also be held Saturday July 17, 2021 at Winns Memorial at 1:00 P.M.

Burial will be at Sayersville Cemetery in Bastrop, Texas.
