December 28, 1947 - March 12, 2019
James was a lover of life and family who lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed beer, bar-b-que, gardening, fishing and deer hunting. It was common for James to host bar-b-ques for family and friends to celebrate every holiday, birthday, and special event. James was a generous man who would give anyone in need the shirt off his back, and he often did. Before passing, James forged a 71-year trail of laughter, generosity and compassion.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Thelma, brother Sammy, and sisters Wanda, Louise and Darlene. James was survived by his sisters Linda and Alma, his daughters Sandy Tammi, Melinda, and Terri, and a great many grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. James was loved by many and will be forever missed by family and friends.
Funeral services and internment will be private. An invitation-only memorial service will be held at a later date.
