On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, James Cleyon Davis, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 85. He is in the presence of his Savior and the arms of his beloved wife.

Cleyon, as he was known by family and friends, was born in September 1935 to James and Lucille Davis. Cleyon graduated high school in Azle Texas. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He met his beautiful wife, Geneva, on a blind date, and they were married in February 1969.  Cleyon retired from the Texas Highway Department (now TxDOT) in 1985 after 30 years of service. He was always busy supporting/serving his family, friends, church, and community. He loved cars and traveling all over the country with his wife and family. The family would like to thank the caring workers at The Cottages in Round Rock for their love and care for Cleyon at a very difficult time.

Cleyon is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stacey & Scott Blasingame of Greenville, Texas, and son, Jay Davis of Elgin; his brothers and sister-in-laws: Weldon and Linda Davis of White Settlement, Texas and Gary Gene and Vickie Davis of Carlsbad, New Mexico; grandchildren: Nate and Rebekah Blasingame; and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Geneva F. Davis.
