Dora worked in food service for most of her life. She served on the culinary staff for the Governor of Texas. After moving to Spokane, WA she worked at Holy Family Hospital and Colfax Memorial Hospital. The couple returned to Texas in 1979 where she worked for the State of Texas until her retirement. At age 72, she returned to work as a greeter at Walmart in Austin, TX. At church she organized and operated the Hornsby Bend food bank, serving scores of local families. She served as the women’s ministry and missions leader. One of her favorite local events was to participate in the Christmas parade. Dora will be dearly missed by her family and loved ones.
