Charlene Carter Milam

Charlene Carter Milam, age 76 of Elgin, TX, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 unexpectedly while attending a prayer meeting at her beloved church, Family Worship Center of Elgin. She was born to the late Charles Clifton Carter and Irene Elizabeth Carter on May 21, 1943 in Holland, TX.

Charlene attended Austin High School and in 1959 married the love of her life, Bobby A. Milam who preceded her in death. They were proud parents of three sons, Robb, Randy, and Ronnie Milam; loving Grandparents to Rusty, Russell and Daniel Milam and six great-grandchildren. Charlene was not only a loving Mother and friend, many others will remember her for the many years she worked as a receptionist for local doctors and dentist offices.

Charlene was a beautiful soul whose life and dedication to the Lord impacted countless others. She loved to study and teach the Word of God. She’s remembered by her warm greetings and infectious laughter. She was kind, loving and funny and always willing to listen and hold those up in prayer or lift her voice in song with her sisters.

She is not only survived by her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but by her loving sisters, Melba Hudson and Linda Bargainer as well as countless nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, January 31, 2020 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Family Worship Center on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. with interment at Speir Cemetery.
