Beverly “Ann” Birdwell Walker

Beverly “Ann” Birdwell Walker went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2019, at the age of 81 years. She was born February 12, 1938, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was a devoted Christian and faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Elgin, TX.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents Henry J. Birdwell, Jr. and Mary Hazel Schultz Schoellkopf.

She is survived by her beloved husband, “Dutch” Walker, daughter Jamie Deramee and son-in-law Ron Deramee of Red Oak, TX and son Jeff Walker and daughter-in-law Belinda Walker of El Paso, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.

A service of remembrance and celebration will be held at Providence Jones Family Funeral Home, 604 Highway 95 North, Elgin, TX 78621 on Friday July 5, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., with the Reverend Samuel Blanco officiating. Beginning at 9:00 a.m., there will be an informal visitation with the family followed by a lunch at the First United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Legend Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Austin, TX, her devoted and loving caregiver Josie Paiz, New Century Hospice and the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department for the kindness they showed Ann and her family these past few months.
