On March 28, deputies with the Bastrop County Sheriff's Office attempted to stop a vehicle in the 600 block of State Highway 71 for observed traffic violations. The driver failed to yield to the deputies and a pursuit began. They headed west on Highway 71 until they reached the 1300 block of Highway 71, where they turned into a nearby trailer park.
