TNT Academy began nine years ago when Pamela Barnett began to teach her son, age 2, to read.She asked parents of other toddlers if they would be interested in a two-day-a-week prekindergarten class for their child to learn to read before kindergarten. With eight students, TNT Academy gained a reputation of a first-rate prekindergarten program.Most of the students went into kindergarten reading at a second- to fourth grade level. Parents began to ask about a kindergarten program.
