Smithville arson suspect arrested

A suspect for the Smith-ville Chamber of Commerce building arson is in custody. Alfred James Nealy, 47 of Smithville, was arrested for the offenses of burglary of a building (a state jail felony) and arson (a second-degree felony). Nealy was arrested on March 29 without incident and transported to the Bastrop County jail. His bond has been set at $100,000 for the arson charge and $15,000 for the burglary charge.
