Candidates for the Smithville City Council and the Smithville ISD school board had a chance to share their experience, views and plans for the city last week during a virtual forum hosted by the Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce. The candidate forum, hosted and moderated by chamber executive director April Daniels, was originally planned for this spring, but was delayed until now due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that Smithville’s local May elections were postponed until November 3.
