Scouts help Elgin police

Scouts from Cub Scout Pack 471 and Scouts BSA Troop 472 helped Elgin Police Department pick up shell casings at the EPD Shooting Range on April 25th. Sgt. Coffee and Elgin Police Department volunteers supplied buckets, snacks, water and awarded each scout with a participation certificate. Like a big Easter Egg hunt, the Scouts searched and picked up shell casings off the ground. The Scouts filled their buckets and picked up a total of 12-and-a-half gallons of shell casings.
