A group of Elgin ISD parents have brought a lawsuit asking that the school district’s mask mandate be stopped, but the district judge did not issue a temporary restraining order against the school’s mask rules at a hearing on Wednesday, December 8.Earlier this year, Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued an order, GA-38, prohibiting the use of mask mandates by entities such as school districts.
