School board approves new modular building Posted in: News The Elgin Independent School District board of trustees approved the purchase of a new four-classroom modular building for the high school’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program at last Monday’s meeting. The CTE program provides an opportunity for high school students to gain academic and technical knowledge and skills to prepare for post-secondary education and careers. Elgin ISD offers CTE programs in manufacturing, agriculture, business, law, science, information technology, education and more. According to the school board’s policy, any single budgeted purchase of goods or services costing $50,000 or more requires approval of the board before the transaction may take place.
