Bastrop County Judge Paul Pape announced his Republican candidacy for State Representative District 17, which includes Bastrop, Burleson, Caldwell, Lee, and Milam counties. A rancher and businessman, Pape has served as Bastrop County Judge since 2012, and was re-elected by wide margins in 2014 and 2018.
