The co-chairs of the committee charged with relocating the Confederate monuments at the county courthouse provided an update on their recent progress during last Monday’s regular meeting of the Bastrop County Commissioners Court. Cheryl Lee, one of the two co-chairs of the committee, said they met on August 5 to review the court’s July 27 resolution creating the committee and to discuss possible new sites for the monuments. Committee members would reach out to those site options and reconvene to discuss their findings.
