Downtown Elgin is giving everyone a chance to buy their Christmas gifts down to the wire.On Saturday, Dec. 24, Elgin is hosting Stocking Stuffer Saturday. Main and adjacent street stores will feature items to fill your stockings.Businesses are scheduled to offer holiday specials as well as reportedly tempting holiday fare to keep your energy high. Nearby local restaurants will also be open.Stocking Stuffer Saturday is one of the last holiday events being hosted by downtown Elgin this month. One week later, Dec. 31, festivities move to south Elgin for Glowing into 2023, the city’s official New Year’s Eve celebration.
