EPD ends year by celebrating a growing police force

At a department holiday party on December 12, the Elgin Police Department (EPD) ended 2021 by celebrating its new employees and recognizing the officers it recently promoted.EPD has been in the midst of adding several new officers over the past several weeks, hiring and graduating enough new officers to fill all open positions as of last fiscal year. Next, EPD will work on filling the seven new officer and administrative positions that were authorized in this year’s budget.
