The City of Elgin was awarded a $50,000 T-Mobile Hometown grant to convert an undeveloped, city-owned lot in the 200 block of Depot Street in the downtown historic district into an accessible outdoor classroom with public Wi-Fi and shade.“Elgin has two public locations that offer free accessible Wi-Fi.
