March 22

1:08 a.m. 13800 blk County Line Rd—Traffic stop. While conducting a traffic stop, a probable cause search found a controlled substance, leading to a subject being taken into custody and transported to Travis County jail for possession of a controlled substance.

11:12 a.m. 13800 blk County Line Rd—Disturbance. A caller said she has been hearing yelling and screaming in an apartment for the past few days, but over the previous hour, the yelling from one person has gotten louder. When police made contact, the subject was uncooperative and combative, and was detained and taken to Bastrop County jail.

1:42 p.m. 200 blk Depot St—Forgery fraud. Complainant advised someone used her debit card for hundreds of dollars in Virginia. Her bank alerted her about the fraud and told her to file a report.

5:17 p.m. 1300 blk W Hwy 290—Theft. A subject took a hoodie from the store and wore it. He was detained, then arrested and taken to Bastrop County jail for theft, evading and resisting.

March 23

2:18 a.m. 18800 blk E Hwy 290—Public intoxication. An officer advised they saw two subjects run behind the building as the officer turned the corner. One person was found intoxicated in the parking lot of a closed business; when she intended to walk home along Highway 290, she was detained for her safety due to her intoxication until her husband arrived to pick her up.

2:54 p.m. 100 blk Ella Ln—Assault. Complainant said she was kidnapped, assaulted and dropped off in Taylor the previous day; while she was visiting a friend, he got mad at her and put her in his vehicle, assaulting her all the way to Taylor. Victim services were advised, and a report was taken.

March 24

4:35 p.m. 2nd St & Ave J—Warrant service. During a probable cause search, two open containers were found. One subject was taken into custody and taken to jail.

March 25

12:52 a.m. 700 blk S MLK Blvd—Assault. Complainant said a subject jumped on her and she is bleeding, and the subject is still on scene. They had gotten into an altercation that turned physical. The aggressor in the situation was determined and was arrested, and after being seen by EMS, the arrestee refused transportation to the hospital and was transported to Bastrop County jail.

6:49 a.m. 18700 blk Golden Eagle Way—Theft. Caller advised when he went to get in his truck, all four of his tires and wheels are gone and his truck is on blocks. Information was gathered for a report.

11:49 a.m. 1100 blk Hwy 290—Forgery fraud. An employee received a call from someone claiming to be the father of her boss, telling her to take money from the register and send it to another country. There were multiple transactions. The subject mentioned the correct names of many employees and family members. The manager requested a report, understanding there was no way of getting the money back and having no other information on the scammer.

8:21 p.m. 200 blk Hwy 290—Terroristic threat. Complainant reported a former employee and her husband or boyfriend came to her place of work, and he was making threats towards her and threatened to shoot her, but he did not have a weapon with him at the time that she could see, and he left before she reported the incident. She later called and said there had been no damage to her brand-new vehicle, but when she got home, she found a dent in the vehicle.
