Elgin man reported missing

Police are searching for an Elgin man who was reported missing by his family last week.

Last Thursday, Alex Aviles, a Hispanic male, was reported missing since August 12 by his daughter and his girlfriend, according to the Elgin Police Department. Aviles was last seen at 8:40 p.m. on August 12 while dropping off his girlfriend in Austin. He was wearing a black t-shirt with the word “Levi” printed on the front, dark pants and a gold chain necklace. Aviles was driving a company truck, a white 2003 Ford F-250 bearing temporary paper tags.

As of Monday morning, no further information is available.
