Election results: Gerdes, Klaus win Republican runoffs

According to unofficial results from the May 24 runoff election, Gregory Klaus won the Republican primary for Bastrop County judge over Don Loucks, while Stan Gerdes won the primary for District 17 state representative, which includes Bastrop County, over Paul Pape.Klaus earned 3,382 votes, or 54.76%, compared to Louck’s 2,784, according to the results as of Tuesday night.
