After a grant decision has been delayed until next month, the Elgin Economic Development Corporation (EDC) voted to extend their deadline for the Texas Local Food Center (TLFC) to raise $800,000 by one month—with one condition. The Elgin Local Food Center (ELF), which is planned for downtown Elgin, would provide a kitchen and education center for community cooking events, businesses and educational resources.
