On Thursday, June 11, the animal shelter closed in order to observe the animals’ health. The next morning, the shelter announced that they would be closed for dog intake and adoptions until further notice due to positive distemper results associated with the shelter population, although cat adoptions are still available and the Low Cost Wellness Clinic is still open to the public and can provide vaccinations and other services.
