The Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) seized about 15 and a half pounds of crystal methamphetamine during a traffic stop near Paige. On December 7, a deputy initiated a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 290 near Paige on a vehicle for a traffic violation, according to a Facebook post by BCSO. After speaking with the driver, the deputy observed indicators consistent with criminal activity, and probable cause to search the vehicle was developed.
