During Monday's regular Bastrop County Commissioners Court meeting, emergency deputy director Christine Files gave an update on the Office of Emergency Management’s recent activity, including the county's response to fires. "Over this last month, we have seen a serious uptick in the number of brush fires due to extremely dry conditions," Files said.
