Council approves 2021 update to five-year plan

The Elgin City Council voted to approve the latest iteration of the city’s list of proposed construction and improvement projects for the next five years. The council’s vote on July 20 was the formal adoption of the annually-updated Five-Year Capital Plan (5YRCP), which lists the city’s planned capital improvement projects. The plan includes over $50 million worth of projects ranging from road projects to utility repairs to park upgrades and more.
