During this year’s Elgin Chamber of Commerce Banquet last Thursday, a number of individuals, organizations and businesses from the community were honored for their work and support in the community. The Elgin Economic Development Corporation won the Brick of the Community Award. Luigi’s Italian Restaurant won the Special Appreciation Award. La’Richer Parks, administrative assistant for the city’s Community Development Department, won the Chamber Volunteer Award.
