The Elgin Police Department (EPD) Criminal Investigations Division is currently investigating the theft of a BBQ pit from the Elgin High School. The theft occurred on July 31, when around 10:51 p.m., a vehicle entered the high school parking lot and took the Elgin FFA trailered BBQ pit, then fled the scene in an unknown direction of travel.
