Bastropians join in with Floyd protests

On Sunday, May 31, a group of about 35 people gathered next to the Old Iron Bridge in Bastrop to join in the nationwide protests against the killing of George Floyd by a police officer in Minneapolis. The signs they carried emphasized justice, racial equality and the importance of voting. At one point, Bastrop Police Chief Clint Nagy visited and talked with the protesters.
