Mayor Connie Schroeder swears in the newest members of the Bastrop Youth Advisory Council during the City Council meeting Aug. 23. As stated in the resolution, the municipal government has an interest in supporting opportunities for youth activites and leadership in Bastrop and the county and therefore has recognized the need to promote an action-civics curriculum.
