​The City of Bastrop held their annual Lighted Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 10, continuing a beloved tradition that’s been going on for over 35 years.​According to main street manager Candice Butts, this year’s event was a grand spectacle that packed the streets of Bastrop.​“With festive lights blazing, and music in the air, this year’s parade was one of the largest in history,” said Butts. “An estimated crowd of over 15,000 guests celebrated the message, magic and memories of Christmas.”​Butts added that the parade is widely regarded as one of the absolute highlights among the city’s seasonal festivities.
