Innovation has reward.On Dec. 12, the Elgin Education Foundation delivered more than $35,000 in Innovative Teaching grants to Elgin Independent School District teachers. Foundation members joined Elgin ISD Superintendent Jana Rueter in personally delivering the funds to grant winners at their campuses last Monday morning.Sixteen educators received the grants, which included $2,823 for hands-on STEM activities at Elgin High School.“It was really great to see the smiles on the faces of these deserving educators,” said Rueter. “We’re excited to spread this cheer during the holiday season and look forward to seeing how each of these will impact the classroom.”The Elgin Education Foundation created the Innovative Teaching Grant to support the ...
